This front cover is very effective because the photograph of an American football game is covering the whole page and headline is overlapping the crowd in the background. All the writing is infront of the picture, making the picture the main focus of the cover. The headline stands out as it is white on a black background, drawing the reader in. The men in the picture are staring at the camera looking very serious beneath the heading 'Nations Best' which makes them look somewhat intimidating. Try to include more detail about the choice of design features e.g. colour, font, layout and images.
ReplyDeleteActually it's the magazine's title that is in solid white. The headline, Nation's Best, is a white outline font which actually stands out less well, perhaps also because the author didn't want to cover or distract from any of the photo (the presence of the large crowd in the background emphasises that the team has won a major competition and may even, on a subconcious level, suggest the rest of the nation).
